Nepal is the 150th largest export economy in the world and the 100th most complex economy. In 2015, Nepal exported $909M and imported $6.61B, resulting in a negative trade balance of $5.7B. In 2015 the GDP of Nepal was $21.2B and its GDP per capita was $2.46k. Nepal borders China and India.

Nepal mainly imports oil, gold, iron and steel, clothes, pharmaceutical products, cement, electronic appliances, food and vehicles. Nepal’s main imports partner is India (accounting for 58 percent of all imports). Others include China, Indonesia, Argentina, South Korea, Malaysia, Japan and Germany.
